At CUHK Science, we stand by our motto:

Over the past six decades, we have trained countless science talents to benefit society. We have also had the pleasure of being supported by friends – some of whom are our very own alumni – who see value in what we do in education, research, and public outreach. Their generosity has enabled the establishment of various scholarships and financial aid to enable more of our students and staff to pursue their dream in science.

Here are some examples of endeavours made possible thanks to the generous support of donors over the past decade:

• Establish the “Madam Ng Yin Ying Early Career Professorship Scheme”
• Establishment of the “Chiu Chin Yin Early Career Professorship in Mathematics” in the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and the Department of Mathematics
• Support the spinocerebellar ataxia research undertaken by the Biochemistry Programme of the School of Life Sciences
• Establishment of the JC STEM Lab of Astronomical Instrumentation and Jockey Club Spectroscopy Survey System of the Department of Physics
• Support the “Science Academy for Young Talent of The Chinese University of Hong Kong STEM Programme” of the Faculty of Science
